FrogsWeb.com and
the FrogsWeb updates on the consultant TW sites do not contain
any form of Spyware or Adware.
We never put anything on the visitors computer that they did not
request, nor do we ever hide links or take them to a site that
they did not request.
We do not have pop-overs
or pop-unders. The only "pop" we do at all is to open
a link in a new window, which is perfectly acceptable by web standards
so you can keep the viewer on the original page.
Some of the links
on the FrogsWeb update to your TW site go to a page hosted on
the FrogsWeb.com server. We do this for two reasons:
1) There is limited space on the TW servers, FrogsWeb.com has
much more space and resources available for the larger images
(like the Fund Raiser catalog).
2) We can update much faster, it takes about 5 times as long to
upload changes to pages that we make to the TW servers.
Aside from our standard
server logs (which all web sites have), we have also installed
two statistics tracker scripts. One logs visits to every page
on FrogsWeb.com, and the other logs visits to the TW site update
pages. These are unobtrusive and gather no personal or marketable
information about the visitor. We use these for site performance
reasons and to detect people who may be illegally copying and
using our update code.
The site submitter
in the members only area is a simple cgi script that emulates
you going to each different search engine and posting your URL.
There is no tracking, spying, or advertising your site by using
that. It is simply submitting a request that your TW site
be listed in their search engine. They may however, put the email
address that you use for that on their mail list, or sell it to
third parties.... but that only effects you personally, not your
TW site.
We are avidly against
those malicious types of marketing and always make sure that our
web designs are as clean as possible. We have purchased all the
scripts and graphics that we use and we make sure that no 3rd
party is getting aggregate data from our customers use of any
of them.
I'll be happy to answer
any further questions or concerns related to the way we do things
at FrogsWeb.com. Contact us about this issue >>here<<
