Getting hot!
It has been in the 90's this week, and it's only June 1st!

Whats new?
The restaurant was a success and then a bust. We had that place doing better than it had seen in years and then discovered that the owner had been lying about a few critical details that would have cost us a mint. We took our "walk away with our tail in between our legs" option and never looked back.

Dana started a pet sitting business! She goes to pet owners homes and takes care of all the Fido's and Kitty's while people are at work or on vacation. The pets love staying at home and the owners love coming home to their pets that have had no stress while they were gone. Plus, since our two dogs passed away, Dana gets to have fun with as many lovable dogs as she can handle in a day!

Canadian updates are still on hold. There hasn't been enough requests to warrant a completely separate TW update plan. Tupperware.ca is completely different than Tupperware.com in the US.

If anyone had problems with FrogsWeb.com's main site closing your browser I apologize. I just discovered today that some bone head in Russia had found a way to put some code on the FrogsWeb main page that tried, but was unsuccessful, to load some type of phishing page from their server in Russia. The code was not written correctly and it would crash the FireFox browser the first time you visited the main page. I immediately removed said code and subsequently banned that person from ever accessing FrogsWeb again.

Aside from that everything with us is going pretty good.
Hope everyone has a great summer!

Busy busy summer
Our weather here in Michigan has been pretty good, no complaints. We've had a few hot and humid days but not many, quite a bit of rain (which is great for crops AND keeping pollen and my allergies to a minimum!) and generally comfortable temperatures most of the time. Hardly anyone talks about the weather when it's nice, so I'm breaking the mold. ;)

Dana has been taking a break from TW to try and get a restaurant going lately. It has been a challenge to say the least! I've been helping out as well, building a web site and a computer system for the place. Plus working there from time to time when they are short handed.

FrogsWeb will be including updates for our Canadian neighbors pretty soon! Canada has been working on their own version of my.tupperware.ca and several managers and consultants would like to have more on their site and have it updated automatically. No problem! But we are going to start out offering only one theme... it will be kind of a mix of the three we have for US members.

Thats about it.
Oh, my Mystery trip was to Grand Rapids MI! We stayed at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel... very ritzy! It was very, extremely, bone numbingly cold (February...) but we bundled up, went out and had all kinds of fun in the small city.

Mystery Trip 2006
Hi!
Just a quick post to let people know that I will be out of town from Friday 2-17 until Sunday 2-19.

Dana has planned a mystery trip for my birthday!
She won't tell me where we are going or even how we are getting there, but she has been giving me all sorts of hints that don't make any sense just to throw me off the trail!

We could be going some place warm or cold.
We could be flying or driving (at least we aren't walking!).
We could be going to a different country or staying in the US.
The only place I can safely say that we are not going to is the MOON!

So, in light of all this mystery, I may post about it when we get back and I might not.

TupperChatters
What happened to TupperChatters?

We've been getting this question a lot lately, and for good reason... the entire TupperChatters site just seemed to "disappear" one day and nobody knows why.

Conspiracy?

On August 30th TupperChatters.com was completely removed from the web servers, reason unknown. I saw that Com was on AIM so I IM'ed him a couple times showing that the site was down (in case he was away and didn't know yet), he never responded. Later he signed off AIM and hasn't been on since.

Since most of their contact was through the email @tupperchatters.com it didn't do any good to try and email them. I dug up their old ISP email addresses and tried to contact them that way, no reply. I even tried to call them directly and it went into voice mail so I left a message with a call-back number, again, no reply. The founder of Heathers ship (TexasGems) happens to be a FrogsWeb member so I emailed her as well, no reply.

A little further digging into some of their other web projects showed that they had not only yanked TC from the web...
Gringo-Express, their pilot web design company was gone.
The TexasGems site was gone.
And Heathers personal Tupperware site (which happened to be the FrogsWeb example for the Stylish theme) was disabled as well.
The only site project I could find that was still active was texasfishnet.com but they just designed that for somebody else, they didn't own it (notice at the bottom it still says "Designed by Gringo Express", but no link it).

If I find out any new information on this I will post it here.

Almost July!
I haven't posted to this blog in awhile because I've been so busy this year. We are having a really nice, hot summer up here in Michigan so far and there are tons of outdoor projects to do. On the weekends, when I usually work on web site stuff, I'm finding it rather hard to stay inside when it's so nice out side.

Whats new?
An easier question would be what isn't new. Answer: Thats-a-Bowls... they haven't changed much. (although even those changed with the addition of the Mega-Thats-a-Bowl!)

FrogsWeb has grown with the new TW sites better than expected. We now update more often and take care of much more of your site than we ever used to with the old sites. Even though TW has sort of let most of us down recently promotion-wise by focusing more on the Asian market, there are still tons of opportunitys and the web sites seem to be doing better and better as far as sales! As with any business, you get back as much as you put into it, and promoting your web site as wide as possible and as often as possible is always the way to stay profitable.

One note I would like to make, as we have run into this a few times now, is how we actually maintain your web site: We don't, and can't monitor your web site for problems. If your web site has errors or looses the FrogsWeb update for some reason (most often when editing the welcome message) we will not know about it until you contact us. That is why we have many contact forms, phone numbers listed and even ICQ and AIM id's listed so anyone who notices a problem can contact us so we can jump on it and get it taken care of. As I'm sure any of our members will testify to, we always respond very quickly and take care of just about any problem that arises within hours.

The new TW sites: WILL THEY EVER BE FINISHED? WILL THEY EVER BE BACK TO "my" INSTEAD OF "my2"?
I have no idea.
Common gossip is that the company they hired to do this changeover bit off WAY more than they expected, and they are still working on it but it's going to take awhile. I'm struggling with the buggy sites just as everyone else is, there's not much we can do about it.

Hope everyone has a happy and safe 4th of July!
