FrogsWeb - weBLog

All of FrogsWeb is finally moved over to the new hosting company. I had to move the updates seperatly from the site so our members didn't get errors on their TW sites. That worked out well. There is a handfull of members who still have the old update, which is now blank except for our logo way down at the bottom. If you would like this fixed or removed just contact us.

We have a new message board up and running now. It's free for anyone to talk about Tupperware but does require you to sign up and confirm your email before it will let you post. Anyone can view the boards without signing up but I did make one called Consultants Corner that is not visible unless you sign up and log in.

My next project is a complete redesign of the update, which I plan to have completed and switched on by the end of May.

Amazingly mild summer up here in Michigan this year. Lots of rain, not too hot... the pollen is rather kicking though.

So whats new, whats exciting? Well, first off the FrogsWeb web host company has gone completely down the tubes. Ever since that so called "upgrade" that I talked about in my last post they are in complete shambles. Nothing works right. It's all I can do just to keep the site UP at this point! FrogsWeb must move to a new host.
It's a long and tedious process but I was thinking that I might as well use this move to also do the FrogsWeb makeover that I've been wanting to do.

Can you believe that FrogsWeb has been running for 6 years now???

Anyway, a few of the things I have in mind to change are:
1) Members only area = gone! It's tired, nobody uses it.
2) The three themes will be getting chopped up into one single theme for the updates. 90% of our members chose the lively theme anyway, so the single update will be something close to that.
3) Give the update a major face lift! A couple of the graphics on there are almost as old as FrogsWeb! Change the layout to modern CSS. Make it fit better on the sites. More recipes. More to read. And whatever else I can dream up to make the updates explode off the page to new visitors!
4) Add a really nice message board. Open to members and non members.
5) I'm tossing around the idea of member pages. A page separate from your TW site where people can go if they are interested in becoming a consultant or just to get to know you better. Something you will be able to edit, but will also have a default layout with your contact info in case you don't want to mess with it.
6) I might redesign the FrogsWeb site. And I might not. Undecided on that.

Ok, that's more than a few things.

First things first, I just got the new web host today. I will be building the new FrogsWeb on there while this FrogsWeb limps along on this crummy host. Then, when the new one is ready I'll flip everything over... hopefully without much of a lag time.

So that's what is going on. In between grilling, fostering kittens, my day job and sleep, this is what I'll be working on.

We've been anticipating and preparing for this upgrade for quite some time now and today I got notified that the move is complete!

But not without problems.

It looks like the updates are all fine but all the web forms on FrogsWeb are not working.
Every one of the Contact Us forms and the Signup form is broken.

I already know what is wrong and how to fix it but it will take me a day or so.
I actually have to replace the program that makes those work and then modify each form so it knows how to use the new program.
